The Dolly Adventures


From Chelsea my adventure was that me and my dolly went to the supermarket . i said to my dolly let's go put on your new pink outfit my mom said it's going to be a little chilly out side to day. so i decided to take her new pink sweater. when we got to the market i put my dolly in cart seat i began to push her down the aisles. dolly wanted everything in the store. first we went down the fruit aisled. we went to the snack aisle and we both a lot of snacks but dolly said no i want candy but i said u no mommy says sugar is bad for u dolly was mad. i gave her cooikes to her that made her happy. by chelsea sanchez i hope u like my adventure

From Leandre - age 6 (New York) I went to Florida and I brought my doll Isabelle. I sleep with Isabella and I can't sleep without her. Every time I go on an airplane I bring Isabelle - she helps me sleep. We go to the beach sometimes and now that I've got the Dolly Goes To The Beach book I'll put the bathing suit on her when I go on an airplane. I love the Dolly Goes To The Beach book.
From Ashley, age 5 (New Jersey) and her doll, Leslie: When I went on a plane I took Leslie with me and we had such a good time. My mommy brought some of my favorite food to eat. During the trip, my Mommy read the Dolly book to me and I dressed Leslie in the pretty dress. When the children sitting behind me on the plane saw my doll dressed like the doll in the story, they wanted a book also. I told them I would let them look at it for a few minutes and I made new friends. They said thank you. Their mommy told me I was very nice to let them look at my doll and the book. My mommy said I was a very good sharer.
From Maggie, age 6 (California) and her doll, Bonnie: My favorite adventure with my doll is when I take her with me to visit my grandma. My grandma has all these special toys for me to play with at her house that were my mommy's toys when she was little. She even has my mommy's old dolls for Bonnie to play with when we visit her. I love taking Bonnie to her house because she even has a special crib for Bonnie to sleep in, and she helps me get Bonnie dressed in different outfits. Grandma loves dolls, she gave me Bonnie and Bonnie was my first doll. Bonnie looks so cute in the new outift from the Dolly Advnentures, I want grandma to get me the book about the beach next, and then the book about vacation, because I like to take Bonnie to the Beach and on vacation.
From Ellie, age 4 (Texas) and her doll, Bell My grandma gave me Dolly Goes To The Supermarket because she thought I would like to dress Bell in the outfit. It is my favorite book now, I brought it with me to school and the teacher read it to the class. My friends all want one too. I think they should make a Dolly Goes To School book, but I am only allowed to bring my doll into the class room for the 1st few minutes of class then she has to go back into the my cubby. When mommy picks me up from school then Bell can come out of the cubby.
From Casey, age 4(New York) and her doll, Pasha My friends mom gave me the book Dolly Goes To The Beach to take with me on vacation. I dressed my American Girl Doll in the Clothing and it fit her perfectly. She looked so cute in the bathing suit and I love the rainbow beach towel because it is so soft. I like the book because now that I am able to read it with a little help from my mom and dad. I love the pictures in the book because there are so many things to look at. My favorite part of the book is when dolly crushes the sand castle because my little sister always does that to my sand castles too!
From Sophie, age 3 (New York) and her doll, Beth My favorite story is when I took Beth to the supermarket and I brought along the clothing that came with the Dolly Goes To The Supermarket book. When we were in the cold part of the market I put Beth's sweater and booties on her. I felt so proud taking such good care of Beth. Then, the lady check out person told me that I should be proud of myself for taking such good care of Beth, just like the girl in the story. It was so much fun. I had such a good time. When I got home I made believe I gave Beth good food to eat and told her that too much candy was not good for her. I felt like such a grown up.
From Barbara Fishman ( a Grandmother of a three year old girl named Nina.) I gave Nina, Dolly Goes to the Beach, just before her parents moved into their summner beach house rental out on Long Island's East End. We read the book together and dressed her waterproof Doll together and placed her on her beach towel. While Nina was away, she took Dolly to the beach. She learned much about how to take care of Dolly and at the same time became aware of what she should know about her own experiences at the beach. The sunscreen appllication, wearing a hat for protection, and even shaking out the sand from the bathing suit after playing, gave Nina a good idea of what to do to get ready for the beach, enjoying the beach safely and cleaning up afterward. I know these lessons for her were invaluable. When she came home to New York CIty, she still wanted me to read her this book. She relates easily to the little girl and we both enjoy the illustrations, especially the doillie fragments floating by the water's edge. Nina has Dolly goes to the Supermarket. She noticed the book on the back cover and was so excited. She said to me, "I have this book!" I cannot wait to get the third in the Dolly series. Barbara Fishman, Grandmother of two.
From Taya I went to the mall with my doll Kit. We went to Baby Emma, Target, Pier 1 kids, and Kyds. We went to lunch at McDonols. Then, we got home and it was time for Kit's nap and I read the story Dolly goes to the beach.
From Ava One day Dolly and I went to the park. We had lots of fun on the tire swing, the regular swing, the slide, and in the sandbox. After we played, we sat on the bench and had ice cream. Then we went home because it was Dolly's bedtime.
Zoe (from Colorado-age 2) One day it was Valentine's Day, and Baby Doll was getting ready. Baby Doll was wearing a blue dress with pink polka dots on it. Zoe's Mom: Zoe loves to have us read Dolly goes to the Supermarket. When we get to the fruit and vegetable page Zoe points to all the produce.
Lily (from Colorado) One day, Dancing Girl went on a trip to KidzPlex. She had lots of fun. She went on the swings, slide and monkey bars, and even on a sidewalk that went over the playground. She was very happy. Dancing Girl also went on the outdoor playset and the climbing monkey bars. She went on a ladder that went up to the roof of the playset. She went on the pretend smokestack that went up to the ceiling too! She went on the up-door playground that had lots of fun things on it. She likes the Dolly Adventure books and so do I.
